Class Description
A 21st century dancer needs to be adaptable, fast, and diverse. My ballet class will enhance the student’s basic classical technique while layering new ideas. I’m excited to discover new ways to move that include the use of space, directional changes, and parallel work. Students will find that proper parallel work improves their turn out. My class will benefit students with strong ballet technique, but also will build a foundation in ballet for those with a background in other forms of dance.

Class Description
Gregory Nuber likes to give a barre focused on the proper anatomical alignment of the body and focusing on warming up all major body parts: spine, feet, legs, arms and neck. After a 45 minute barre, students Students will have a few minutes to stretch before moving to the center work which will include a short tendu/temps lie combination to become acclimated to working without the aid of the barre, followed by an adagio, petite allegro and finally a grand allegro using elements explored at the barre.
FLOOR BARRE

Class Description
Working on the floor is stress-free, allowing the body to correct alignment, elongate and strengthen the muscles that support the spine. Working in parallel position strengthens turn-out muscles, and concentrating on hip placement improves ability to work on the standing leg. Exercises are designed to help prevent injury, especially knee injuries. For those with injuries, floor barre keeps the body strong while allowing it to heal. Certified by Zena Rommett.
