Julie Turner has been on faculty at Dance New Amsterdam since 2009. Julie received her Basic Pilates Mat certificaiton from DNA with Teri Steele in May 2007. She has continued her education with the Stability Ball Course at DNA. She has also taken Mat level 2 at movements afoot as well as Prenatal, Osteoporosis, Bone Rhythms, and Body Release workshops with Erika Bloom Pilates Plus._

Class Description

Beginner & Intermediate Mat: This class is perfect for anyone beginning or wishing to deepen their Pilates Practice. Julie gives Pilates exercises and detailed descriptions of the movement principles involved in the exercise. She helps students find proper alignment and encourages them to move in a more efficient way.

Slow Intermediate Stability Ball: This class is designed to transition students from Pilates mat to Pilates with the Stability ball. Julie teaches the core principles of Pilates while flowing between exercises to keep the students focused and centered. Each exercise on the ball is structured to increase balanced muscle development, strength, and control while giving the students a sufficient work out.
