Class Description
I’m interested in the individual’s greater understanding of and capacity for movement as a means of effective communication. Classes will focus the mind and body on a progression from simple movement combinations to more voluminous, complex, and dynamic dance. Proper alignment, core support, technical proficiency, and spatial exploration will all be addressed. We will consider how anatomical concepts apply to both mechanical functions as well as qualitative choices. This class is meant to challenge the mind, body, and spirit but not overwhelm it. I hope to create an environment where we can enjoy what makes us unique and be comfortable with where we are on our individual as well as collective artistic paths.
