Rebecca (bex) Burton

Join us for this exciting circus theatre adventure musically fueled by Tin Pan!

Set in turn-of-the-century New York City, “The Wonderneath” explores the otherworldly lair rumbling below the city’s surface, where steam energy has seeped through granite and crystal, fractalized, and created a land where all that is wondered comes to be.

This triumphant tale pushes the boundaries of imagination and circus skills (aerial acrobatics, fire performance, puppetry, dance, and more). Watch this magical world be discovered and brought to life by Hailey, played by Kai Altair, as she encounters the many mysteries that lie below. Hidden amongst the delight of color-spewing snapdragons to the high-flying queen of the underbelly, laden in the sparkle of Crystallized(TM) - Swarovski Elements, this tale harbors enchantment for all.

Be dazzled by performances from Kai Altair, Claire de Luxe, Jordann Baker, Ali Luminescent, and Ellie Mio of Lady Circus, Ateles Aerial, Renata of Desert Sin and Alchemy Dance Theater, and Bex Burton of Sense of Motion.

Handstand workshop at Reflections Yoga (49th St., east of 8th Ave.)

Wednesday March 24, 7:30-9:15 p.m.
Feel your feet leave the ground!

Handstands. Love ‘em or fear ‘em, this workshop is for you. This practice will explore the physical components of handstands, will introduce students to their effects on the physiological and subtle bodies, and will address the states of mind that can check the progress of a handstanding practice. Die-hard handstanders will glean details that can bring their inversion practices to the next level (Wall? What wall?), and those who run from the room when the teacher says, “Bring your mats to the wall,” will develop the confidence and awareness needed to turn matters upside down. Workshops at Reflections are shockingly affordable, so come play!
