I want to go to New York and dance.

The Founding Directors of Dance New Amsterdam (DNA) all lived that dream, and almost 30 years ago these five dancers created a place where a dancer could find a home in NYC. Their mission was and continues to be quality comprehensive training. The faculty trains each dancer as an individual…not just another body in class. At DNA, one of the first things that a young dancer is asked by a teacher is their name and if there are injuries to consider - and then the journey of discovery begins! This journey focuses on individualized attention to body placement and assists each dancer in discovering his or her strengths and weaknesses – and in understanding his or her body’s limitations and how to work around and through them. We build conscious dancers…. we want every dancer to understand what we are asking them to do and perhaps more importantly…WHY we are asking them to do it. Dancers can then take all of this knowledge and apply it to any creative dance vocabulary or style and wherever their dance career may take them. We do all of this in a nurturing supportive environment.

We invite you to come and discover DNA’s secret….come for a day…or two…or maybe even a week or a few months’ series. Let us help you build a program that addresses the goals and needs of your students. Let us help you continue the good work that you are doing in creating the next generation of dancers. We can schedule special master classes with DNA’s faculty in any dance or wellness/fitness genre that you select or help you choose classes from our daily schedule or a mix of the two. We can also bring DNA to you – sending instructors to your home studio for a series of intensive master classes.

Pricing
Classes from DNA’s schedule: $15 per student (10 or more students, must take the same class)
1.5 hour specialized class: $25 per student ($30 per hour for accompanist, if needed)
2.0 hour specialized class: $30 per student ($30 per hour for accompanist, if needed)

*DNA will provide assistance with selecting dance styles & faculty for scheduling master classes for your group.

Payment is required in one lump sum, and pre-registration is required 24 hours in advance. DNA accepts cash, personal or business checks, traveler’s checks, and credit/debit cards (Master Card/Visa)

Program participants will receive 10% off any DNA merchandise.

Bring DNA to Your Studio
Up to three DNA faculty members will travel to your studio, offering intensive master classes created especially for your student population. For a group of 10-25 dancers, a one-day, three-class schedule fee is $900. Contact us to create additional options for your group, which will be priced accordingly.

Refunds and Cancellations
No refund will be given if a group reservation or DNA faculty trip is cancelled less than 14 days prior to the scheduled event. If you cancel more than 14 days in advance, a full refund will be given minus a $50 non-refundable administrative fee.
