Celebrating Black History Month, DNA presents works by Sduduzo Ka-Mbili. Originally from Engonyameni, a rural area of Durban, South Africa, Sduduzo Ka-Mbili brings JUXTAPOWER’s Got Zulu! to DNA, a stage production of dance and song blended with sketch humor/drama to offer the best of South Africa’s theatrical tradition. The production features Zulu, Gumboot and Pantsula Dances, performed by singers, dancers and musicians, from South Africa and the U.S. Taking audiences on a journey from the Mines to the Townships, to green pastures of the country side, Got Zulu! highlights historically significant events in the country.
