Dance New Amsterdam (DNA) is Lower Manhattan’s newest home for “downtown” dance – dance that challenges, expects attention and gives each viewer permission to experience art as a response to our daily existence. DNA is thrilled to announce its participation in the 2009 Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP) Conference. The APAP Conference runs from Friday January 9- Tuesday January13, 2009. APAP brings together dance presenters and cultural professionals from all over the world to hear about new trends, to discuss the performing arts, and to see exciting artistic work live as they scout for the perfect fit for their stages. This is an incomparable opportunity for choreographers and dancers to gain exposure to a wide variety of performing arts presenters, managers and promoters. In the spirit of DNA’s mission to support the creation and performance of dance and as an official APAP Conference Venue, DNA will offer 4 showcases featuring work from a wide variety of artists.

We will present 4 days of showcases as follows:

Our showcases are free and are open to all APAP Attendees and Members. The showcases are also open to the general public on a limited seating basis. No reservations are requires but check in for APAP attendees will be required at the front door. For any questions please email apap@dnadance.org
