Production Apprenticeship Program
Apprentices fulfill crew responsibilities for productions in the DNA Theater. This includes but is not limited to the following: Changing the theater from classroom to theater orientation daily, operating sound and light boards, hanging and focusing lights, laying dance floors, moving scenery and props, operating rigging, performing as stage manager, and cleaning/maintaining the theater. Candidates must demonstrate a strong interest and willingness to learn these activities, as prior experience and knowledge is not required. They should be detail oriented, organized, and effective time managers. Applicants should also be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be comfortable working at heights of 10 feet on a ladder.
Compensation
Stipend of $7.25/hour; 10 class card for every 40 hours worked
Expectations
Be part of a crew that works half of the productions occurring over a six month period.
Standard Work Hours
Sunday 2:00pm-10:00pm
Monday-Friday 4:00pm-11:00pm
Saturday 12:00pm-12:00am
